HP Proliant DL360 G5 Installation
Here you'll find some photos I've shot during the installation of my HP Proliant DL360 G5.
Arrival of all HP hardware!
Four 72.8 GB 10K SAS drives ready to unpack ;-) (On the top the DVD-ROM drive)
The server itself is nicely packaged...
The new server on my table.
Internals of the server.
HP Lights-out display. (NOTE: All lights are OFF when system state is normal. It's no (driver) bug when all LEDs are out ;-))
All SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) Drives are nicely packaged...
Four drives ready to install.
Start of the CentOS installation process on an old CRT.
More CD's needed by CentOS ;-)
The installation of CentOS went completely smoothely! I didn't have any driver or other problem on the HP Proliant hardware!
Watch the HP lights-out display with two power supplies connected. No LED's are on.
When power supply 1 failes, the PS1 LED lights orange;-) (And I get a nice e-mail warning the system is not fully redudant.)
Same story with power supply #2
Finally I placed the server in the co-lo rack of my provider. Sorry for the bad quality photo's, I forgot the flash.
My server is in the middle, on top 3 * UPS, routers / switches and serial console switch.
Although at the moment my server is the only server in this rack XS4ALL nicely prepared all cabling for other (new) servers to be placed.
